MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming men’s ice hockey duo Jared Young (Pueblo West, Colo.) and Joseph Santino (Woodbridge, Ontario) it’s Mustang Co-Athletes of the Week for the week ending December 11.

Santino, senior forward for the Mustangs, led the charge offensively against the Pioneers, registering four points on the night behind his two goals and two assists.
He was the first to put the Mustangs on the board, answering an early Utica score at the 11 minute mark in the opening period, before finding a teammate six minutes later for an assist on the go ahead tally.

His efforts in the third period helped secure the win for Morrisville State, as he netted a second score in the final five minutes to give the Mustangs a two goal advantage, before assisting the empty net tally in the closing seconds of the contest for the win.

A criminal justice major at Morrisville State, Santino has posted eight goals and assisted six for a team leading 14 points on the season. He is the son of Linda and Joe Santino of Woodbridge, Ontario.
