Tyler Gale joined the Morrisville State College men’s lacrosse staff in the fall of 2013 as assistant coach.
Over the course of three years with Gale on staff, Morrisville State has been one of the top teams in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC), posting a three year record of 37 wins and 13 losses, while going 22-1 in NEAC play.
Gale has played an instrumental role on the coaching staff in leading Morrisville State to back-to-back undefeated conference seasons, regular season and tournament titles, as well as the program's first and second appearances in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
Following a historical 2015 season for the Mustangs, the Mustang staff continued the success from the previous season and again dominated the NEAC en route to their fifth regular season title, and second straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
The success of the Mustangs in 2016 led to an overall 13-3 record, and a fifth undefeated NEAC record of 8-0, as Gale joined head coach Jason Longo in earning Coaching Staff of the Year honors by their peers for a second straight season. Morrisville State also swept major conference awards with Rookie (Nick Geswaldo), Offensive (Louie Geswaldo) and Defensive (Chris Fiore) Player of the Year accolades as they landed a program best nine on the All-Conference teams.
The 2015 season was a historical one for the Mustang program, as they captured the NEAC Tournament title to earn the men's program its first ever bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
The Mustangs finished the season with an 11-6 overall record, posting their fourth undefeated NEAC season in program history at 8-0, and their fourth regular season NEAC title.
After struggling in the 2013 season, Longo restructured its staff with the addition of Gale and fellow assistant coach Tim Barth, and brought the Mustangs back to the top of the conference ranks in 2014, finishing with a 13-4 overall record, 6-1 in NEAC action, and their third appearance in the Championship Finals. Seven earned post-season recognition for their efforts on the field, as well as several receiving academic accolades as scholar-athletes.
The Lafayette, N.Y. native comes to Morrisville State following a four-year career with the Loyola Greyhounds as a midfielder for the Division I program. Gale finished his career with 10 goals and two assists, notching a game winner against then second nationally ranked Georgetown as a sophomore.
Following graduation from Loyola in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and minor in marketing, Gale played a stint with the South Australian lacrosse club in Adelaide, South Australia before forming DBA Gales Lacrosse Club in Tully.
As owner and coach of DBA Gales, Gale set up national tournaments and coaching clinics, participated in Adidas and Nike National Coaching Clinics, and acted as a liaison between the high school circuit and college level coaches for players wishing to continue their playing careers at the next level.
While continuing to serve as the Director of DBA, Gale joined Bauer Performance Lacrosse as a product testing coordinator and event marketing director in February 2013, performing product evaluations in a consumer test market.
Gale initially joined the Morrisville State men’s lacrosse staff in the Spring 2013 as a volunteer assistant.
