Morrisville State College Fitness Center


The Morrisville State College Fitness Center, located in the Student Activities Building, is a fitness facility available to Morrisville State students, faculty/staff, and community members 18 years of age or older. Its two floors provide a cardio level, a strength level, two aerobic rooms and a team weight room, while offering numerous state-of-the-art training devices to support all workout needs, including:

Fall 2015 Semester Daily Fitness Class Schedule

Monday 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. ZUMBA           A dance workout to high energy music
Tuesday 3 - 4 p.m. BOOT CAMP   High-intensity interval training within small groups
  5 - 6 p.m. PiYo               A cross between pilates and yoga
Wednesday 12 - 12:45 p.m. ZUMBA STEP  A dance workout to high energy music that utilizes a step
  5 - 6 p.m. YOGA             A slow, meditative workout that focuses on stretching and breathing
Thursday 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. ZUMBA           A dance workout to high energy music


Training, Classes & Challenges

The Fitness Center has partnered up with the Wellness Center, located next to the Shelia Johnson Design Center, to allow members to work out with a personal trainer and have unique exercise programs tailored to fit their needs. Personal training is provided by Morrisville State's own human performance and health promotion students, as part of their internship course.

A Fitness Center Membership also gives members the opportunity to participate in a variety of exercise classes and challenges, including but not limited to the following:

  • Zumba
  • Yoga
  • Karate
  • Zumba Sentao
  • Spinning
  • Hula Hooping
  • Tai Chi
  • Pilates
  • Sports Conditioning Boot Camp
  • Run Across America (3,000+ mile treadmill/elliptical run)
  • Tour de France (2,131.6 mile bike ride)
  • Mt. Everest Challenge (49,764 steps on stair climber)
  • Weight Contests
  • Biggest Loser Five Week Challenge
  • Race and Marathon Training

* Note that not all classes and challenges may be available at all times.

Memberships & Fees

Each membership allows unlimited visits to the Fitness Center. Membership applications can be picked up at the front desk of the Fitness Center. Once the form is completed, bring the form and membership fee to the Campus Store. Membership cards can be picked up at the Campus Store and must be presented at the front desk upon each visit.

Beginning August 1, 2013, memberships at the Morrisville State College Fitness Center will run for six month periods from the purchase date. Similarly, single month memberships will provide access to the fitness center for a four-week period beginning with the date of purchase.

Membership Option Plans

Faculty / Staff: $32.50 per six month period or $7.50 per month

Student Memberships: $65 per six month period

Community Memberships (must be 18 years of age or older to use facility): $65 per six month period or $15 per month

Senior Citizen (over 62): $50 per six month period or $10 per month

Summer ONLY Membership: $45 (July 1 - August 23)

Visitor Fee (per visit): $5

Hours of Operation

The Fitness Center is open seven days a week when classes are in session. Hours may change when classes are not in session.

  • Monday - Friday           6 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  • Saturday - Sunday       10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

During the summer break, the Fitness Center will be open the following hours and are subject to change:

  • Monday - Friday           7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
