MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team stunned region dominant Skidmore College Sunday, taking top honors in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event held in Morrisville, claiming high point team accolades with 45 team points.
Skidmore was reserve high point team with 42.
Morrisville State, for a second time in as many days, had eight take home blue ribbons, including Morgan Wilsberg (Mattituck, N.Y.) who claimed her second weekend victory in the open equitation over fences class.
The Mustangs also had six finish in second place in their class, including Wilsberg in open equitation on the flat.
Marcus Livermore (Syracuse, N.Y.) collected his second win of the weekend, this time in the novice equitation on the flat class.
Jayci Mieczjowski (Averill Park, N.Y.) rode to the top of the class in beginner walk trot canter, before Brittney Dorman (Granville, N.Y.) collected her second blue ribbon of the weekend in the walk trot class.
Morrisville State returns to the riding arena, Saturday, Nov. 19 at Skidmore.
