MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host Morrisville State College wrapped up the regular hunt seat show schedule Saturday, earning reserve high point team honors as they fell two points shy of show champion Skidmore College at the riding arena on Fearon Road in Morrisville.
Morgan Wilsberg (Mattituck, N.Y.) collected the show's high point rider accolades, after topping the riding field in both the open equitation over fences class and open equitation on the flat class for the blue ribbons for the Mustangs.
Five additional Morrisville State English riders turned in top rides, including Sarah Simmons (East Northport, N.Y.) who claimed the class win in the intermediate equitation on the flat.
Olivia Fam (Southborough, Mass.) had the winning ride in the novice equitation over fences class, while teammate Phoebe Leger (New Paltz, N.Y.) took home the blue ribbon with her class win in novice equitation over fences.
Morrisville State had a total 14 riders post top three rides on the day, as they finished the regular season with 308 team points to earn reserve championship team accolades.
Morrisville State will send 12 qualified riders to the Regional Championships held at Skidmore on Saturday, April 1st, for an opportunity to compete at the Zone Championships in April.
