MORRISVILLE, N.Y. –D3football.com has announced its National "Team of the Week" presented by Scoutware, for games during the week of October 11 - 12th, naming Morrisville State College junior punter, Tyler Dunworth (Poestenkill, N.Y.), to the special teams.
The honor came from an impressive punting performance against conference favorite Rowan in a 41-21 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) upset of the Profs.
In the game, Dunworth punted seven times for an average of 46.9 yards. Twice booting the ball 58-yards and three times pinning the Profs inside their own 20.
His best punt came in the fourth quarter when he pinned Rowan on their own two yard line helping the defense to pin back their ears for the 41-21 upset victory.
Dunworth is currently ranked third in the conference and 86th in the nation with a 36.7 average.
The graduate of Averill Park is majoring in residential construction at Morrisville State. He is the son of Diane and Jeff Dunworth.
