Thompson named E8 All-Conference selection

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Empire 8 conference announced its 2016 All-Conference Football Teams, selecting Morrisville State College sophomore Marcus Thompson (Syracuse, N.Y. / Cicero-North Syracuse) to its Second Team Offense, as an offensive lineman.

Thompson started in nine games for the Mustangs on the offensive line this season, assisting Morrisville State to an average 408.5 yards total offense each contest.

His efforts guided the Mustangs to a fourth overall ranking in the Empire 8 in rushing offense as they averaged 162.2 yards per game, and fifth overall ranking in passing, a 246.3 yard per game average.

The sophomore has appeared in 16 games throughout his career on the line.

A graduate of Cicero- North Syracuse High, Thompson is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. He is the son of Mark Thompson of Syracuse.
