Rotchford joined the Mustang football coaching staff as assistant coach responsible for the offensive line and the coordinator of the running game in June 2014.
Rotchford comes to Morrisville State from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in Claremont, California, where he served as the offensive coordinator for three seasons, also holding positions as the offensive line coach (2013), quarterbacks coach (2011, 2012) and running backs coach (2011).
Prior to his stint at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Rotchford served as a graduate assistant for two seasons with St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, where he spent time working with the offensive line and fulfilling the head JV coach / offensive coordinator role.
Rotchford earned his master’s degree in organizational leadership while at St. Ambrose in 2011.
The native of Baldwinsville, N.Y. had a stellar four-year career with the St. John Fisher College Cardinals, winning two Empire 8 Conference Championships as an offensive lineman. During his senior year, he was a member of the team that won the east region and advanced to the NCAA Division III national semifinals.
Following graduation in 2007, Rotchford enjoyed an internship with the Buffalo Bills as a player personnel / scouting intern before beginning his coaching career as an offensive line coach with the staff at MacMurray College in Illinois.
