MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2016 Field Hockey All-Conference Team and individual award winners, selecting Morrisville State College junior forward, Lauren Kellum (Eaton, N.Y. / Morrisville-Eaton) the Offensive Player of the Year, as voted by the conference coaches.
Kellum tallied a team high 15 points on the season behind her six goals and three assists while starting in all 17 contests for the Mustangs at forward.
Twice on the season she posted two goals in a single contest, both against St. Lawrence University and Keuka College, where she registered the game winning score over the Wolves.
A two-time NEAC Offensive Player of the Week selection, Kellum was also named to the All-Conference team a year ago for the NEAC.
Kellum finished the season tied for second in goals scored and assists recorded in the conference.
Aside from her accolades on the field, Kellum also excels in the classroom, earning Dean's List honors for Morrisville State, and receiving NEAC Scholar-Athlete accolades last spring.
The junior is a graduate of Morrisville-Eaton Central School and is majoring in technology management – resort and recreation services at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Mary Orth of Eaton.
