MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its student-athlete of the week selections in field hockey Tuesday, naming Morrisville State College senior forward, Lauren Kellum (Eaton, N.Y.) the Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 3.
Kellum assisted the Mustangs to a 1-1 weekend, posting five points in two games. Involved in all but one scoring play, the senior added an assist in the season opener against Castleton, before registering a goal and two assists in the 3-1 win over Elmira College.
The reigning NEAC Offensive Player of the Year currently leads the NEAC in points (5) and assists (3) in the young season.
A graduate of Morrisville Eaton Central, Kellum is majoring in resort and recreation management at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Mary Orth, of Eaton.
