Evarts named NEAC Offensive Player of the Week   


MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its weekly award winners in field hockey Tuesday, naming Morrisville State College freshman forward, Haley Evarts (Irondequoit, N.Y.) the Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 1.

Evarts led Morrisville State in a 1-1 week, collecting five points behind her one goal and three assists.

In the loss to Oswego, Evarts posted the first goal of the day seven minutes into the contest, and followed with an assist on a goal late in the game.

The freshman followed with a two assist outing in the 3-1 win over Wilson, assisting the eventual game winner.

A graduate of Irondequoit High, Evarts is an individual studies major at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Robin and Jay Evarts of Irondequoit.
