MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its individual award winners in the sport of field hockey Wednesday, with league undefeated Morrisville State College sweeping all three awards, as voted by the conference coaches.

Senior Elizabeth Leva (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) was named the NEAC Offensive Player of the Year, senior defender Nicole Greiner (Eden, N.Y.) the NEAC Defensive Player of the Year, and freshman midfielder, Haley Evarts (Irondequoit, N.Y.) the NEAC Rookie of the Year.

Leva was a threat for opposing teams, posting a season total and team best 11 goals for 22 points to lead the NEAC in scoring.

Within NEAC action, the senior led the way with six scores, recording 12 points, for the league leading Mustangs who dominated offensive play with 14 total tallies on the year.

In nine games overall on the season, Leva posted at least one score, recording a single game high three goals against Wells College. She is currently ranked fourth overall in the NEAC with 22 points.

Greiner controlled the back line for the Mustangs defense that averaged a 1.50 goals against average, and .667 save percentage, as they collected a perfect league record, allowing just 6 goals across league action.

The senior collected three defensive saves on the year, and often was turned to, to mark the opposing best player.  Her ability to transition the ball from the defensive end of the field to the midfield proved vital in the Mustangs success on the year.

Evarts posted a single game high three points behind a goal and assist against Oswego, following with another single game high two assists in the victory over Wilson to garner player of the week accolades.
