Koller picks up first collegiate win in 12-1 romp of Lancaster Bible College  

 

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State field hockey head coach, Jennifer Koller, picked up her first collegiate win with the Mustangs program Saturday afternoon in dominating fashion, handing visiting Lancaster Bible College a 12-1 defeat in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Six different Mustangs contributed to the goal scoring on the day, including junior Brianna Fischetti (Wading River, N.Y.) who notched a hat trick with her three tallies.
  • Grace Hanehan (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Kelsey Carpenter (Greenwich, N.Y.), Kaylee Houseworth (Schuylerville, N.Y.) all posted their first collegiate tallies, each registering two goals in the win.
  • Fischetti, Hanehan and Houseworth each added assists to their goal scoring efforts; Fischetti one, with Hanehan and Houseworth each posting two.
  • Today's 12 goals is the most the program has scored in a single game, topping the record established on October 17, 2004 (10 vs. LeMoyne Club). It was also the most goals scored, combined, topping the record established in 2007 with 11.
  • Freshman Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) picked up her first win in cage, recording three saves, including a penalty stroke opportunity in the second half.
  • Morrisville State outscored Lancaster Bible 39-5 and held the 13-3 advantage in penalty corners.
