Bonaparte named NEAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its player of the week selections for the week ending November 20, naming Morrisville State College sophomore Kenny Bonaparte (Soundview, N.Y.) the Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Bonaparte led Morrisville State to a 2-1 week, averaging 17.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game, shooting 51.7 percent from the floor across all three games.

Bonaparte posted a high 71.4% shooting effort in the overtime win over Valley Forge at the Nazareth College Tip-Off Tournament, where he poured in a collegiate high 34 points, adding five rebounds and three steals to his totals to lead the Mustangs to the 96-94 win.

He followed his collegiate high with a 15 point performance in the loss to Nazareth in the championship game, adding three assists, to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

A graduate of Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High, Bonaparte is majoring in individual studies at Morrisville State. He is the son of Noemi Rosario of Soundview.
