MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office has announced its weekly award winners in the sport of basketball Monday afternoon, naming Morrisville State College sophomore forward, Kevin Dennis (Bronx, N.Y.) the Men's Basketball Player of the Week following his performance on the court across two games.
Dennis led the Mustangs in a 1-1 week, averaging 28.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per outing for Morrisville State.
The sophomore started the week with a 31 point performance at non-conference opponent Utica College, before registering a 26 point, 11 rebound outing that also included three steals and three blocked shots, against conference foe Wells College on Saturday.
On the week, Dennis shot 65.6% from the floor on 21-of-32 field goals made, and 83.3% from the free throw line, converting 15-of-18 attempts, while collecting 15 rebounds, one assist, three steals and three blocked shots; in 26 minutes on average per game.
A graduate of Harry S. Truman High, Dennis is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. He is the son of Monique Davis of the Bronx.
