DELHI, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's basketball team dropped a close battle with host SUNY Delhi Sunday afternoon, as the host Broncos edged the Mustangs by a 78-74 final in non-conference action in Delhi.
The loss sends Morrisville State into the break with a 5-5 overall record.
Kevin Dennis (Bronx, N.Y.) led the Mustang efforts with a double-double performance, netting 18 points and adding 15 rebounds, while assisting two. Teammate Brison Hall (Syracuse, N.Y.) added 15 points to go along with six rebounds.
Morrisville State led 35-28 at the half before hot shooting by the Broncos in the second saw them outscore the visitors 50-39.
The Mustangs resume action January 8 on the road at Middlebury.
