MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's golf team posted a combined team score of 339 strokes at the SUNY Cobleskill Golf Jug Classic Friday, held at the Cobleskill Golf and Country Club in Cobleskill.
Junior Darren Young (Woodstock, Ontario) led Morrisville State with the top team finish on the par-70, 6,134 yard course, coming in with +8 strokes for a 7th overall individual place finish.
Tyler Bliss (Liverpool, N.Y.) and Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) each tied for 27th overall in individual standings, shooting 92, while teammate Jesse Pflaumer (Elba, N.Y.) compiled a match score of 94 to tie for 29th.
Cobleskill won the event with a team score of 314 strokes.
Morrisville State returns to the fairways Wednesday at the Keuka College Fall Invitational held at the Lakeside Country Club in Keuka Park.
