Mustangs finish ninth at Oswego Fall Golf Invitational

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's golf team compiled 348 team points Monday at the SUNY Oswego Fall Invitational, placing ninth overall among the 11 team event held at the Oswego Country Club in Oswego.

Morrisville State was led by junior Darren Young (Woodstock, Ontario) who shot +7 to tie for fifth place overall on the par-71, 6,424 yard course.

Jesse Pflaumer (Elba, N.Y.) posted a score of 88 strokes for 39th, to score second for the Mustangs, while teammate Brandon Davis (Fayetteville, N.Y.) tied for 41st with a score of 89.

Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) and Cody Holmes (Fort Ann, N.Y.) rounded out team scoring on the day with 93 and 97 strokes, respectively, finishing in 51st and 52nd.

Oswego won the event with a combined team score of 316.

Morrisville State returns to the courses Friday, traveling to SUNY Cobleskill.
