Men’s Golf eighth at Keuka College Invitational

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State men's golf team compiled a team score of 335 strokes Wednesday at the Keuka College Fall Invitational, finishing eighth overall as a unit among 12 competing teams.

Layne Martin (Findlay, Ohio) was the top golfer for the Mustangs at the event, posting a score of 77 on the par-71, 6549 yard course at the Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan. His score tied him for fifth overall in individual standings.

Brandon Davis (Fayetteville, N.Y.) finished just two strokes behind with a score of 79 to tie for ninth.

Cody Holmes (Fort Ann, N.Y.) and Nick DeVito (Averill Park, N.Y.) finished 41st and 42nd, with scores of 89 and 90, respectively, while teammate Jesse Pflaumer (Elba, N.Y.) rounded out team scoring with 90 strokes on the day.

Morrisville State returns to the fairways Monday, Sept. 19 at the Oswego Fall Invitational.
