Geswaldo tabbed NEAC Player of the Week for second time

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its athletes of the week in men's lacrosse, naming Morrisville State College sophomore attacker, Nick Geswaldo (Lafayette, N.Y.) the Offensive Player of the Week for a second straight week, for action ending April 15.

Geswaldo led Morrisville State to a 2-0 week within conference play, netting a combined 11 goals and three assists for 14 points, while adding six ground balls and a caused turnover to his tallies.

The sophomore posted seven points in each outing, including six goals and an assist in the 20-4 victory over Cobleskill midweek, three goals of which came in the opening quarter as he also dished out an assist. His score with 1:48 to go in the first proved to be the eventual game winner.

Geswaldo wrapped up his week with five more scores and two assists in the win over SUNY Poly on Saturday. Four of his tallies came in the closing seven minutes of the third quarter, including two in a span of 5 seconds as the quarter expired.

Geswaldo currently ranks second in the NEAC in goals scored (31).

A graduate of Lafayette High, Geswaldo is majoring in horticulture at Morrisville State. He is the son of Vicky and Louie Geswaldo of Lafayette.
