MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team learned their NCAA Division III Championship Tournament second round opponent Sunday night, and are heading to York College (PA) to take on the Spartans, Wednesday, May 10 at Kinsley Field.
York, who finished second overall in the Capital Athletic Conference during the regular season, earned an at large bid after posting a 16-3 record on the year. The Spartans are no strangers to the NCAA tourney, making a quarterfinal appearance just a year ago.
Morrisville State (10-5) is making their third straight appearance in the tournament, claiming their third consecutive North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) title behind a 15-3 final win over rival Cazenovia.
The winner will advance to the third round to Saturday, May 13, facing the winner of the Lynchburg College / Sewanee matchup.
