MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office has released its tournament field for the 2018 Men's Lacrosse Championship tournament, selecting Morrisville State College as the overall top seed after the Mustangs finished the conference campaign with an undefeated 8-0 record.
The Mustangs, who won its fourth straight regular season title and are three-time NEAC defending champions, will host fourth seeded Keuka College Wednesday on Drake Field in Morrisville. The opening face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Morrisville State registered a league best offensive average of 16.75 goals per game while allowing the fewest goals as well (44) to finish with atop the league with a 5.50 goals against average against NEAC opponents.
Bryn Athyn earned the second overall seed with a 7-1 conference record, falling only to Morrisville State 11-9 on April 4. The Lions will host Hilbert College who claimed the third seed after finishing NEAC play with a 6-2 record.
The winners of Wednesday's semifinals will advance to the NEAC championship final on Saturday, May 5 at the highest remaining seed.
