Senior Cody Gaines (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) recorded the loss in net, making six stops, five of which came in the first half of action.

Geneseo posted their first score just 5:38 into the contest off a penalty kick, as Morrisville State was whistled for a handball in the box.

They increased their lead to two in the 63rd minute with an unassisted tally from eight meters out, before the Mustangs cut the lead to one with their own penalty kick goal at the 66:35 mark.

Julian Rodriguez (Bronx, N.Y.) converted the penalty shot after being taken down in the box by the Geneseo defense.
