BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men's soccer team dropped to 1-5 overall Tuesday evening, falling to host Buffalo State College by a 2-0 final in Buffalo.

Morrisville State returns to the pitch Saturday and will look to rebound from the atypical start to the season, opening North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play against Route 20 Rival Cazenovia College. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Drake Field in Morrisville, also a celebration of the annual Art Lemery Reunion Weekend for soccer alumni.

Senior Cody Gaines (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) recorded the loss despite registering five saves in net.

Buffalo State took an early 1-0 lead, heading the corner kick past Gaines in just the fifth minute of the contest. The Bengals secured the win in the 66th minute on a breakaway.
