Kyle Graves joined the men's soccer coaching staff in 2009 and assumed the head coach position the following year, leading the men's team to a quarter-final appearance in the North East Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Tournament in his first season.

In seven seasons with the Mustangs, Graves has guided the men’s team to an overall 83-38-13 record, compiling a 51-13-7 record in NEAC play.

Morrisville State continued its dominance of the soccer ranks in 2015, compiling an overall record of 14-5-2, while boasting a 10-1-1 NEAC record en route to their second straight conference regular season and tournament title.

Under guidance of Graves and his coaching staff, Morrisville State had six earn All-Conference honors and once again took home Defensive Player of the Year honors in senior Danny Peckham.

Graves again directed Morrisville State to a second straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, advancing to the second round for a second consecutive year with a opening round win on Drake Field, before falling to eventual National Champion Amherst.

The 2016 season proved no different as Graves again guided the Mustangs to a 16-4 overall record (12-1 conference stint), claiming their third NEAC regular season title, third straight tournament title and making a third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

For a second straight season Graves coached both the NEAC Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year award winners, while landing seven on the all-Conference teams.

After boasting a 10-5-4 overall record and 5-2-1 conference record in 2013, Graves guided Morrisville State to a program best 16-3-1 NCAA record in 2014, posting a 9-1 conference stint en route to claiming the program's first NEAC regular season title and overall top seed in the Championship Tournament.

Graves coached the Mustangs to their second NEAC tournament title, earning the program's second bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, and first selection in Morrisville State history to host an opening round game. Morrisville State posted a thrilling penalty kick defeat over Kings to advance to the second round.

The success Graves' squad had on and off the field earned him NEAC Coach of the Year accolades by his peers, and also a program national ranking come season end by the NSCAA national poll (27th), as well as NSCAA Division III All-Region selections in center backs Alan and Danny Peckham and the program's first NSCAA Division III All-American (Danny Peckham).

Throughout the season Graves' team maintained continuous ranking in the NSCAA East Regional Weekly Poll (ranking as high as sixth), and maintained its presence in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings, finishing the season eighth overall in scoring offense in all of the division.

The success on the field led to several players earning all-Conference accolades, an astonishing seven in 2014, that included Goalkeeper of the Year Rob Larkin. Graves also has coached players to NEAC Rookie of the Year honors and NEAC Player of the Year accolades.

The 2012 season brought the program its most success since the transition to the NCAA, posting a 15-5-1 overall record, finishing second in the conference with a 8-1-1 mark, capturing the NEAC Championship Tournament Title, and earning a bid to the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament. Morrisville State also earned its first ever National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men’s East Poll ranking (10th).

In his time at the helm of the program, several have earned all-Conference accolades, and have been acknowledged for their academic performance as well, with some being recognized as NEAC Scholar-Athletes. Off the field, his teams have been active in the community, participating in projects for Special Olympics, Wounded Warrior, IACKids in Rochester, AYSO and most recently raising donations for multiple sclerosis.

As assistant coach for the Mustangs in 2009, Graves assisted in all facets of the men’s soccer program last year including practice and game preparation, recruitment of student-athletes and community service initiatives for local youth groups.

Prior to joining the Mustang staff, Graves gained a wealth of experience through coaching stints with various soccer programs and camps/clinics. For five straight seasons, he was involved in all three levels of play at East Rochester High School where the varsity program posted two sectional championship titles and made an appearance at the New York State Final Four Championship.

Following a stellar high school playing career, Graves attended Keuka College where he was a member of two North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Teams, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education.

Graves recently completed his NSCAA National Certification, holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and a NSCAA Level 1 Goalkeeper Diploma.

Graves resides in Morrisville with his wife, Alisa, and their daughters Dalaney and Quinn.
