Wade and Evans Lead the Way at Charger Invitational

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Men's and Women's Cross Country teams ran to 3rd and 4th place finishes respectively.  Highlighting the teams' strong finishes were the individual wins by Byron Evans (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and Raylene Wade (Red Creek, N.Y.). 

Evans paced the field in the men's 8k, posting a time of 27:36.0.  Isaiah Evans (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and Justin DePue (Homer, N.Y.) also finished in the top 20 with times of 30:08.0 and 30:27.0. 

Wade posted the best time in the women's 6k with a 25:38.0.  Mikayla Solloway (Sherburne, N.Y.), Maria Miner (Liverpool, N.Y.), and Maura Conlon (Marcy, N.Y.) also finished in the top 20 to propel the Mustangs to the 4th place spot. 

The men's and women's race first place sweep by Evans and Wade is the first in Morrisville Cross Country program. 

The Mustangs will take a weekend off before taking on the CCOC Championships on Saturday, October 15.
