MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Men's and Women's Cross Country teams both ran to 6th place finishes at the Hamilton College Tune Up on Saturday. The event featured a men's 5k and a women's 4k race.
Byron Evans (Cazenovia, N.Y.) paced the Mustangs in the men's 5k, posting a time of 16:44.5 for an overall 7th place finish. Justin DePue (Homer, N.Y.) Isaiah Evans (Cazenovia, N.Y.), Andrew Blue (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), and Owen Braun (Fulton, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring runs for Morrisville as the quartet finished 32nd, 34th, 35th, and 37th respectively.
Raylene Wade (Red Creek, N.Y.) posted the best time for the Mustangs in the women's 4k with a time of 16:47.7 for an 8th place overall finish. Mikayla Solloway (Sherburne, N.Y.) finished 38th overall with a time of 18:33.4. Maria Miner (Liverpool, N.Y.), Maura Conlon (Marcy, N.Y.), and Zoe Bender (Chittenango, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring runs.
The competition today was the final tune up for both the men's and women's squads before they travel to Lancaster Bible College for the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship meet on Saturday, October 29.
