MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its preseason coaches poll Wednesday, selecting Morrisville State to finish third, as voted by the conference cross country coaches.

Morrisville State received two first place votes for 105 total points, and head coach Derek Powers will look for his group to build off each other in hopes of rebounding from the loss of their top four runners from a year ago, including NEAC Champion Byron Evans (Cazenovia, N.Y.).

SUNY Cobleskill received six first place votes to be the favorite heading into the season, edging out four-time champion SUNY Polytechnic who claimed second with five first place votes.

Lancaster Bible and Penn College rounded out the top five.

Morrisville State opens the season Saturday on the road at SUNY Polytechnic for the Wildcats short course invitational, before returning home to host an invite of their own on the 9th.

Morrisville State College's curricula are enriched with applied learning and pave the way for opportunity at both the Morrisville and Norwich campuses.
