Fourth quarter sinks Morrisville State women as Geneseo nets 79-49 win

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Visiting SUNY Geneseo women's basketball outscored Morrisville State 23-9 in the fourth quarter, en route to a 79-49 non-conference victory over the Mustangs in Morrisville.

The loss drops Morrisville State to 2-2 overall, while Geneseo improves to 3-0.

Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston, N.Y.) led all scorers on the night with 17 points, adding a team high six assists and four rebounds, while teammate Allison Chase (Weedsport, N.Y.) contributed 11 off the bench.

Bridgit Ryan led Geneseo with 16 points, adding seven rebounds and three steals in the win, while teammate Katie Durand chipped in 12.

Morrisville State trailed 40-29 at the break before Geneseo put together a 39 point second half to the Mustangs 20 to collect the win. 

The Mustangs return to the court November 30, hosting Keuka College in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opener.
