Rockefeller recognized as NEAC Player of the Week  


MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office announced today its weekly award winners in the sport of basketball, naming Morrisville State College sophomore guard, Tori Rockefeller (Bloomville, N.Y.) the Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 28.

Rockefeller led Morrisville State to a 2-1 week with her stellar play from the guard position that included a 1-1 conference record on the week.

The sophomore kicked off the week with a collegiate high 26 in the 57-53 loss to Keuka, accounting for nearly half the Mustang scoring, draining four three's, while adding a steal to her tallies.

She followed with a 24 point outing at SUNY Poly as the Mustangs took down the North Division leaders in their first conference loss, 66-64. In that same contest, Rockefeller shot 69.2% from the floor, hitting 9-of-13 shots that included six from behind the arc. She also posted three assists and a steal.

She wrapped up her week with 15 points in the win over SUNY Delhi, adding five more three's to her tallies, while collecting an assist and two steals.

Across the week, Rockefeller shot 52.4% from the floor, 60% from beyond the arc, and averaged 21.7 points per game (25.0 within conference play).

A graduate of South Kortright High, Rockefeller is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Trina and Brett Rockefeller of Bloomville.
