MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) announced its weekly award winners Monday, selecting Morrisville State College freshman forward, Maddison Devlin (Campbell River, British Columbia) the league's Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 5.
This is the second time Devlin has earned the weekly honor, collecting Rookie of the Week accolades on October 31.
Devlin contributed to a 1-1 weekend for the Mustangs, posting two goals against Endicott College. In Friday afternoon's battle, Devlin collected a rebound and put the puck home to give the Mustangs a 2-0 lead at the 7:31 mark of the third period.
Her second goal of the weekend came early in the second period in the eventual 3-2 loss. Devlin finished with a +1 rating while on the ice for the Mustangs over the weekend.
Devlin is currently ranked fifth overall in the conference in points (19) and is sixth in assists (10). To date she has scored nine times, three power play tallies, while recording a +21 on ice rating.
The freshman is a graduate of Earl Marriott Secondary and is majoring in liberal arts and science – humanities and social science at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Wendy and Vinee Devlin of Campbell River.
