Morrisville State women second seed in Colonial Hockey Conference Tournament

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) announced its 2016-17 Championship Tournament pairings Sunday, selecting Morrisville State women's ice hockey as its second seed.

The Mustangs completed the season 18-6-1 overall, posting a 8-4 record within league play to earn the opening round bye.

Endicott claimed the top seed in the tournament with an 11-1 conference slate, their lone loss coming at the hands of the Mustangs on February 3rd.

Canton, Stevenson, Johnson & Wales, and Becker College all received bids to the tournament, set to begin Saturday, February 25th for the quarterfinal round.

Third seed SUNY Canton will host sixth seeded Becker College at 4:30 p.m. in Canton. Likewise, fourth seeded Stevenson University will host fifth seeded Johnson & Wales at 5:30 at Stevenson.

Morrisville State will face the winner of Canton/Becker on Saturday, March 4th at Endicott; Endicott will face the winner of Stevenson and Johnson & Wales in the semifinal rounds.

The winners of each semi will advance to the Championship Final on Sunday, March 5th at 12:30 p.m. in Endicott.
