MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) announced its weekly award winners Monday, naming Morrisville State's goaltender, Karoline Aarvik (Trondheim, Norway) the league's Rookie of the Week for play through Sunday, November 26.
Aarvik led Morrisville State to a 2-1 week, appearing 179:22 minutes in net while posting 66 saves for a .985 save percentage and 0.33 goals against average.
The freshman started the week with 25 stops in a 1-0 victory over #10 ranked Hamilton College on Tuesday for the shutout, including 12 in the final period to preserve the win.
She posted her second shutout on Friday as Morrisville State posted the 4-0 win over Concordia (WI) behind 18 saves, before wrapping up the week's action with 23 stops in the 1-0 loss against Concordia on Saturday.
A graduate of Strinda Vgs. in Norway, Aarvik is majoring in business administration at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Jannicke Naess and Oddbjorn Aarvik of Trondheim.
