MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its players of the week for the week ending March 19, naming Morrisville State College senior defender Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston, N.Y.) the Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
Anderson, tabbed the defensive player of the week for a second straight week, led the Mustangs with six ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 20-3 non-conference defeat of SUNY Maritime on the road Friday.
The senior also added three draw controls and an assist to her tallies in the win.
Anderson currently leads the NEAC in both ground balls (16) and caused turnovers (9).
The reigning NEAC Defensive Player of the Year is a graduate of Unadilla Valley High and is majoring in human performance and health promotion at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Wendy and Steve Anderson of West Edmeston.
