George named to IWLCA Division III Honor Roll

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2017 Zag Sports Division III Honor Roll Wednesday afternoon, naming Morrisville State junior goalkeeper, Kallie George (Tully, N.Y.) to its list of honorees.

The IWLCA honored 532 student-athletes from 159 different institutions on this year's honor roll. To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. 

George started all 19 contests for the Mustangs between the pipes, recording 145 saves and 10.06 goals against average in 1145 minutes of action. Her leadership on the defensive end of the field led Morrisville State to its second North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Title, and the program's second overall appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

George, a three-time NEAC Scholar-Athlete honoree, was a third team All-Conference selection this season, posting an overall record of 13-6.

Throughout her collegiate career, George has excelled academically, earning Dean's List accolades each semester, while earning her associate's degree in equine science and management.

The graduate of Tully High is pursuing a bachelor's degree in equine science at Morrisville State, where she is also a member of the western equestrian riding team. She is the daughter of Shelby and Steve George.
