Morrisville State announces women’s soccer schedule for 2018  


MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State announced its 2018 women's soccer schedule, with a full 19 game slate that features eight contests on the Mustangs home Drake Field.

The Mustangs will open season action on Friday, August 31 as they head northeast to Southern Maine College for a 2018 opening tournament. On the 31st they face Thomas College (ME), meeting the hosts on Saturday, September 1.

Morrisville State hits the road for two more in early September, heading to SUNY Canton on the 5th before facing the Pioneers of Alfred State on the 8th in Alfred.

Keuka College rolls into town on the 15th to serve as the Mustangs home opener as well as North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) kick-off, serving as a warmup to a road battle at Route 20 Rival Cazenovia College on the 18th.

Morrisville State will have a non-league bout with SUNY Delhi on Drake Field on the 19th, before hosting Wells on the 22nd as they begin a three game conference stretch.

The Mustangs head to south division opponent Penn St. Abington on the 29th and wrap up September action with an outing at St. Elizabeth on the 30th.

October begins with a road trip to non-league Cortland on the 2nd, before Morrisville State hosts defending NEAC champion Penn St. Berks on the 6th.

An outing at Cobleskill on the 7th begins a three-game road slate for the Mustangs, as they follow with a non-conference battle at Utica College on the 10th and a conference contest on the road at Penn College on the 13th.

Hamilton College comes to the Mustang Valley on the 16th, before Morrisville State retires the 2018 regular season schedule with three additional conference contests, all within a week's time.

Gallaudet will meet the hosts on Drake Field on the 20th, followed by Lancaster Bible on the 21st before Morrisville State wraps up the conference schedule with a clash against nearby rival SUNY Poly on the 27th.

Morrisville State went 6-3-1 a year ago in conference action, finishing 6-10-1 overall, while making their first appearance in the NEAC championship tournament.
