MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Volleyball team picked up two more North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) wins on Saturday afternoon, defeating Keuka College 3-1 and Cazenovia College 3-0.
The two wins put the Mustangs at 19-8 overall on the season and 10-2 in NEAC play.
Megyan Merrill (Millport, N.Y.) led the way offensively in the four set match against Keuka, posting 13 kills on just 25 attempts. Emilee Niejadlik (Hamburg, N.Y.) added eight kills, while Helena Hanes (St. Mary's, Pa.) posted 26 assists.
On the defensive side, Morrisville picked up points at the net, recording 14 total blocks.
In match two of the afternoon, the Mustangs spread the offense around as nine different players recorded at least one kill. Hanes continued to orchestrate the offense, tallying 22 assists.
The Mustangs return to the court tomorrow morning for their final regular season conference action of 2016 as they take on Wells College at 11 AM.
