MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Women's Volleyball team was tripped up on Saturday afternoon, falling to North Eastern Athletic Conference foe, Wells College in five sets. However, the Mustangs were able to rebound to take the cross town battle with Hamilton College 3-2.
Megyan Merrill (Millport, N.Y.) led the Mustangs offensively in both games recording 23 kills in each. Helena Hanes (Brockport, N.Y.) picked up 15 kills in the loss to Wells and registered 11 in the win against Hamilton. Elycia Crittenden (Louisville, Ky.) also contributed to the Mustang's attack with 12 kills in the match against the Express.
The Mustangs continued to play well defensively, led by Libero, Sam Wolf (Liverpool, N.Y.) who picked up 42 digs in the first match, and 34 in the second.
Morrisville will continue their extended string of road matches on Wednesday to take on SUNY Delhi at 7 PM.
