MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Women's Volleyball team picked up a pair of non-conference victories on Saturday afternoon, defeating Utica College 3-0 and Southern Vermont 3-0.
The Mustangs continued to use all of their offensive weapons throughout the afternoon. While no Mustang reach double digit kills, nine different players notched kills in the two matches.
While the offense continued to impress, it was the serving game for Morrisville that proved to be the biggest difference maker. The Mustangs served 22 aces on the afternoon. Kim Dunkleman (Williamsville, N.Y.) tallied five aces against Utica alone and picked up another against Southern Vermont.
The Mustangs improved to 12-3 overall and will turn their attention to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) North Division play. Morrisville will travel to SUNY Poly at 7 PM on Tuesday before hosting Keuka College on Thursday at 7 PM.
