MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Women's Volleyball team sent senior, Lindsey Sunderlage (Kingston, Ill.) out in style with a three set victory over the visiting Fighting Tigers from Cobleskill in their final regular season conference action of the season.
The Mustangs were near perfect offensively in the first set, putting away 12 kills while producing one error for the dominant 25-14 victory.
Morrisville and Cobleskill played a little tighter in the final two sets, but it was the Mustangs who would prevail each time winning both sets 25-17.
Sunderlage came up big in her final regular season home action, picking up five kills, three aces, while contributing on five blocks.
Other offensive contributors included Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) who finished with eight kills and Margaret Kianka (Marcellus, N.Y.) who finished with seven. Morgan Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) set up most of those kills as she dished out a season and career high 12 assists.
The Mustangs will wrap up their regular season on the road at local rival Hamilton College on Saturday. Morrisville will take on the host Continentals at 11 AM before taking on St. Lawrence at 1 PM.
