MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College women's volleyball team earned their second straight bid to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament, wrapping up North Divisional play with a 5-1 overall record to earn a second seed.
The Mustangs finished 5-1 overall in the North, their lone loss coming in a five set decision to top seed Wells College in September.
Morrisville State will take on Keuka College in a 5 p.m. battle Tuesday in the quarterfinal round on the Mustangs home court. The Wolves earned the third seed after finishing 4-2.
Wells will host SUNY Polytechnic in the quarterfinal round, a 7 p.m. start on the Wells campus.
Penn St. Berks claimed the regular season title with a 6-0 South Divisional record, handing Wells a 3-0 defeat in cross divisional action in mid-October. They will host fourth seed St. Elizabeth in the quarterfinal round Tuesday.
Defending champion Gallaudet University earned the second seed in the South with their 5-1 divisional record, and will host third seeded Lancaster Bible, who finished 4-2.
Morrisville State defeated Keuka College 3-0 Oct. 5, edging the Wolves with set scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20 for the victory. The match is scheduled to get underway at 5 p.m. in Morrisville.
All teams will be reseeded after the quarterfinal round and announced by the conference office late Tuesday.
