Houseworth nets two as Mustangs fall to Oswego, 4-2  


OSWEGO, N.Y. – Senior forward Kaylee Houseworth (Schuylerville, N.Y.) scored twice for the visiting Morrisville State Mustangs, but their efforts fell short as SUNY Oswego field hockey picked up a 4-2 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory Wednesday afternoon in Oswego.

  • Senior Kaylee Houseworth (Schuylerville, N.Y.) matched a career high Wednesday as she posted two goals in the conference loss for the Mustangs.
  • Houseworth's first tally came at the 27:23 mark on a sweep as fellow forward Heather Cummings (Akron, N.Y.) crossed the ball from the right to left meeting the stick of the senior.
  • Her second tally came minutes into the second half, as Morrisville State tried to erase a two goal deficit, netting the diving score at the 38:33 mark off the dish from Grace Hanehan (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.).
  • Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) recorded 12 stops in the loss, six in each half of action.
  • Katie Reynolds scored twice for the hosts, as fellow Lakers, Alyssa DeMichael and Emily Conklin each collected one goal for Oswego.


  • Morrisville State returns to the field Friday, hosting Hartwick College in a 4 p.m. non-league matchup on Drake Field, before wrapping up North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Saturday, senior day, against Wells College.
