Morrisville State women drop NEAC opener, 86-69 to Poly  


MARCY, N.Y. – Four posted double figures in scoring Saturday afternoon for visiting Morrisville State, but it wasn't enough as SUNY Polytechnic picked up the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win by a final 86-69 in Marcy.

  • Junior Tori Rockefeller (South Kortright, N.Y.) led Morrisville State with 19 points on the day, adding two steals and four rebounds to her tallies, as four total Mustangs recorded double figures in the contest.
  • Sierra Henry (Newfield, N.Y.) added 16 points, three assists and five steals as fellow guard Alexis Campbell (Buffalo, N.Y.) collected 15, hitting 7-for-8 from the free throw line, while dishing out three assists.
  • A-laya Wright (Henrietta, N.Y.) posted 10 points, pulled down six boards and collected three steals in the efforts.
  • Miranda Wright (Smyrna, N.Y.) led the Mustangs in rebounds, collecting eight, to add to her nine points as she shot perfect from the floor in 4-of-4 shots.
  • Morrisville State shot 39.7% from the floor on the day, hitting 90.9% from the free throw line, but it was SUNY Poly that had the advantage in shooting, hitting 43.2% from the floor, while controlling the boards out rebounding the Mustangs 48-30.


  • Morrisville State returns to the court Wednesday, hosting Route 20 Rival Cazenovia at 5 p.m. on the Mustangs home floor.
