MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Volleyball program picked up two more early-season wins on Saturday afternoon, defeating both Buffalo State and Oswego State 3-0 in the second day of their home tournament.
In the first match of the afternoon, the Mustangs played three close sets with the Bengals from Buffalo State. However, a balanced offensive attack combined with 11 aces proved to be the difference in the three set sweep.
Merrill paced the offense again in the second match of the day against the Lakers from Oswego State, picking up 16 kills, the 16th being a record breaker for the Mustangs. Merrill is now the Morrisville all-time kills leader with 704 in just her junior season.
